Biography
Born in 1992 in the historic Lebanese town of Borj el Chemali near Tyre, Ghaleb Hawila found his voice not in words, but in the spaces between them. A master of Arabic calligraphy trained both traditionally and through self-guided exploration, Hawila does not simply write; he composes visual meditations that blur the lines between script and spirit. Each stroke, rooted in ancient heritage, becomes a living pulse, questioning the boundary between the visible and the divine. From Beirut to Berlin, his work reveals the mystical essence of the Arabic letter, where the Nuqta, the primordial dot, holds the key to everything. In Hawila’s hands, language becomes form, breath and revelation.
