Biography

Narek Santuryan’s artistic journey began with street art, deeply rooted in hip-hop culture. For him, it was a first language — free, bold, and authentic. Over time, pop art elements merged into his work, and today this fusion defines his unique visual language.

From 2002 to 2004, he studied at the Akop Kojoyan Educational Complex, and from 2005 to 2009 at the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University, where he began actively participating in exhibitions. His early works were presented at NPAK (Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art), including:

2005 — Liberté, égalité, fraternité 2006 — Free as Never 2007 — My Eyes Seek the Reality Since 2010, Santuryan has worked across tattoo art, airbrushing, street art, and commercial commissions — from tattoo designs and paintings to large-scale murals and customized vehicles. Whether personal or commissioned, each piece is grounded in concept, emotion, and individuality.

In 2018, he founded Santurian Art Studio, where creativity, custom projects, and experimentation come together under one roof.

Since 2022, Santuryan has been sharing his experience with young artists as a teacher at the Akop Kojoyan Educational Complex — the very place where his path first began.

His art is a continuous dialogue between the street and the studio, rebellion and aesthetics, freedom and technique. Narek Santuryan continues to seek out new forms and surfaces on which to leave his mark.
