Biography
Viktoria Shahbazyan is a graphic printmaker and visual artist based in Yerevan. Her works have
been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Armenia and abroad.
Since 2019, she has been a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia. In 2024, she participated in
the international Limited Edition exhibition at Villa Empain in Belgium. That same year, she was
involved in the Akneye project dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Martiros Saryan’s participation
in the Venice Biennale. The project was presented at Villa de la Tana Digital Space, where the
iconic wall from Saryan’s original participation was digitally reconstructed.
For the past five years, Viktoria has been teaching linocut at the Minas Avetisyan School of Fine
Arts. In addition to her art practice, she also works as an illustrator and designer, having created
visuals for several magazines and publications.
She participated in the Graphic Biennale in 2022 and is scheduled to exhibit again in 2025 with two
new works. In 2025, two of her printmaking pieces were exhibited at Angelina Gallery in Canada,
where they remain on display
