Educated in New York, Lidia-Russkova Hasaya is a multidisciplinary artist and theatre director whose practice spans photography, video, performance, sound and total installations. Her work explores the intricate relationship between universal images, languages and impulses, often incorporating textual elements influenced by her interest in political philosophy.
Central to her practice is the concept of “intermezzo,” introduced by Deleuze, which refers to the possibility of focusing on the present when the past is deceptive and the future is unknown.
Lidia’s artistic projects are presented globally. Notably, in early 2023, she opened the exhibition “Unfolding” at the Ria Keburia Foundation in Georgia with great success. In May of the same year, she presented her public installation titled “PORTAL” during the opening of the Venice Architecture Biennale. Through her work, Lidia aims to provoke thought and dialogue, inviting audiences to explore and question the connections between time, space and the human experience.
